“This amalgamation is great news for both of our communities. Stride Credit Union has been a great corporate citizen to our City and the region over the years. This new partnership increases that capacity to support worthwhile causes.”

"Stride Credit Union have been excellent corporate citizens thru their commitment to excellence and ongoing support to the local communities they serve! I’m confident this will continue as they work together with Beautiful Plains Credit Union, the town of Neepawa and surrounding area!"

"Fantastic work by Stride and Beautiful Plains Credit Unions! The uniting of the two credit unions will allow them to enhance services to their members, provide those services in multiple locations and continue to add value to our investing, lending and financial needs."
MNP Senior Partner, Portage la Prairie
This proposal is about positioning ourselves for the future by joining forces to build economies of scale in the areas of technology, compliance, products & services, and other core functions of our operations. It is also about increasing our capacity to respond more quickly to the rapid changes that will continue to occur in the financial services industry. And, above all, it is about continuing to provide our members with excellent financial products, rates, and service.
We firmly believe this proposal is in the best interests of all our members and communities, and would not be making it without having had thorough and thoughtful discussions and negotiations, performing due diligence, and building a solid business case.
Both credit unions are leaders in their communities as business and community builders. By amalgamating, the larger organization will be able to bring enhanced resources and dedication those roles.
The fit for these two credit unions is ideal, as we adhere to the same values in terms of how we treat our members and employees, and how we respond to the needs of our communities. We have shared visions, philosophies and goals. Our branch networks are complimentary, bookended by major centres with diverse, growing economies and populations.
We strongly believe this amalgamation is the right thing to do, but the decision is up to you and the other 18,199 members of our financial co-operatives. We encourage you to exercise your right to vote, on August 14 or 15, and we look forward to seeing you at the information meetings we have scheduled to answer your questions and hear your point of view.
We are excited about the possibilities this amalgamation represents and sincerely hope you will share our excitement as you learn what it will mean for you, your credit union, and your community.
